Anyone who has worked with me knows that one of my favorite sayings is: “we don’t need to reinvent the wheel”. I am inspired daily by the simple and profound lessons I learn from everyone and every situation around me. Below is one of the most important lessons I think anyone can learn about how we interact with others. In every situation in which I mediate or facilitate, this human dynamic is at the very core. You can find this lesson taught in many places, and Brene’ Brown beautifully and succinctly describes this human “thing” we all do – all the time. In my opinion, if someone wants to truly operate on a “graduate level” in any personal or professional relationship, they need to learn this. Once you learn it and choose to live it daily, your life and the lives of those around you will be changed beyond what you can imagine.
